The last Capri ever made was a Capri 280 (Brooklands) with the chassis number GG11896J and the registration plate is D194 UVW with only 13,000 miles on the clock.

Just found a PS2 game, Ford Racing 3 that contains Capri's, including MK1 RS2600 and 2.8i Specials, FANTASTIC!

Top tip of all time, Do you want door mirrors that match? Find a black cab, (the good old London taxi) and look at the mirrors, they are the same as the remote ones on a MK 3! and the N/S ones are from a MK 1 Fiesta (mind you don't expect to see much out of it!).

The last registered Tickford is a 'J' plate (Fantastic!!) and was sold for £10,500 with only 2,200 miles on the clock!

I've heard a whisper that there is a 'G' plate 280 around, any ideas?? Just found it belonged to one of the owners of Dees of Croydon (a Ford dealership) of whom would not discount the car at all, and it sat in the dealership for 3 YEARS before it got sold. Now in the hands of a VERY lucky man covering only 20k miles and 2 owners.

The Capri 280 was originally planned to have Gold coloured alloy wheels and bumper corners,...... good job that Ford changed there mind eh!

There are only 6 'F' plate Capri 280s ever. (if yours is one of them let me know).

Ford only ever made enough paint for 500 Capri 280's, so if you place one of the first next to one of the last, the first ones colour is darker.

Someone in 1986 after they knew Ford was going to cease production of the Capri, did plan to make a limited run of the Capri called the 'Capri 500', a 245 bhp twin turbo beast, but it never happened!

One Ford Capri fanatic hired a private detective to track down the 2 Ford Capri's, used in five episodes of The Professionals and spent £25,000 restoring them!
